Rain Barrel

The Water Quality Forum is raising awareness of water conservation by sponsoring the Rainy Day Brush-Off art contest . Local artists have donated their time and talent to this cause by creating works of art on 55 gallon (208 liter) rain barrels that are being displayed all over town. This is one of my favorites, by local artist Cynthia Markert. These barrels would come in handy today - it's pouring!

Love the barrel idea. It dresses up the town a good bit. Gully washers here yesterday -- looks like more coming later in the afternoon. April just getting in her last showers so that May will be flowerful.

This is a really good idea and the painted barrels are a fun way to promote it.

Tanks for dropping by mine and telling me your bird stories too.

I heard about these rain barrels on the news the other day, I like the concept of making them into art.
