I couldn't decide which one of these I liked better, so today you get a twofer.I like the monochrome for the framing of the university tower. I like the color for the shaft of sunlight that peeked through the clouds at that moment, and for the rich contrast of brick/ivy.

I'm glad you went for a Twofer! They are both fantastic photos but for very different reasons. Good job!
Mono for me, but I agree with you about the shaft of sunlight in colour you that gets lost in mono.
They're both lovely, but I like the b&w.
