Clefhenge

Who knew that the Treble Clef sculpture seen yesterday is actually an artifact created by an Ancient Extraterrestrial Civilization to record the position of the moon for Mysterious Yet Significant Seasonal Rituals that may involve Gratuitous Capitalization of Words. And here I thought it was just another piece of public art.

To see more skies with or without artifacts and public art, visit Sky Watch Friday. It's significantly fun, no mystery about that.

Cliffhenge is just a great title for this. To me I see something very, very Georgia O'Keeffe here. I would buy this and hang it in my home. I vote this one, one of your best.

Very interesting object -- I can sort of see how it would be used to calculate the position of the moon...
A very beautiful form...

I'm with Virginia. I would frame this. Gorgeous shot, Knox!

And your commentary (as usual) seriously rocks. Love it.

The Moon can get through the eye of a needle? Ancient and Extraterrestrial indeed! Great post, KG!

Virginia, Cliffehenge. I really should have thought of that, but I'm not up to speed today. I'll take my hat off to you that's a stunning shot, truly professional. I will go and hang my camera up now. No longer the fastset Camera slinger in town.
If Knoxville don't use this image at some time I'll eat my hat I took off earlier.
