The Wrath of Grapes

I was in the downtown wine store to find a nice bottle of red to have with my eggplant and pepper stir fry, when I saw this sign for Luchador shiraz. I was undecided whether a body slam to my tongue would really be a pleasant experience. And really, I don't think you should put the word "malo" near any product that you have hopes of selling, even if you are referencing a luchador's name. But then I looked at the price and decided that I didn't want a body slam to my wallet either. So in the end, I chose an Italian primitivo with a nice calm line drawing of a farm scene on the label.

Sometimes when I am grabbing my cheap wine, I get sidetracked looking at all the great names and the artwork on wine bottles. Can't you see some little boy begging Dad to buy that wine cause the characters look like Power Rangers????HA

Of course I had no clue what LUCADORS were. I am so out of it. But I do LOVE wine!

Fat Bastard wine! I want to go into a shop and ask for some Fat Bastard wine. I asked for some of Seattle Chuck's "bad ass grapes" in the local supermarket and they infromed me, with no trace of irony, they only sold good wines! Wonder if bad ass grapes make Fat Bastard wine! Great title for the psot by the way.

Babooska,
Wish we could get together for a glass of all of the above! The rest of you are invited as well. Cheers!
PS Of course Bad Ass Grapes are the prime ingredients of the FB label. BTW, FB was the vin du jour when my friend's divorce was final! I hope CDP doesn't shut Knoxville down with all this trashy talk.

Wine with style but quality first? Since when did the WWF sanction wine?

Fat Bastard is a good Aussie wine.

If you get to Nashville, there is a great new wine store in Green Hills - (yn). Most bottles are under $20.
