Vespa

Here's one more picture from the vintage motorcycle show yesterday. This was the only Vespa on display. I couldn't get a shot that I liked of the whole scooter, so I'm showing you a close up again. I like the lettering of the Vespa logo, and the faint reflection of the TVA towers underneath the logo.

I saw about 200 Vespas yesterday. The first dozen or so I thought were just a coincidence but when I saw them parked rank on rank I realized there must have been some kind of Vespa owners rally or meeting. About 50 yards down the road from where I shot that picture of the Scottish piper there were at least a hundred Vespas parked.

This is a pretty color for one.

Those Vespas I mentioned, near the piper - those are the ones in Chuck's photo of the scooter rally in Victoria. We probably passed each other without knowing it....

j'adore les vespas, cela me fait toujours penser au vieux cinéma italien.
I love vespas, it always makes me think of the old Italian cinema.

Love the Vespa photo.

My dream vacation would be rent a country house in rural Italy and drive between towns on a Vespa.

I was in a wine shop here in town recently and an Italian guy who is a wine distributor came in with his red Vespa. There is now a shop on this side of town that sells them, too. I'd like to have one, I think.
