Unravelled

More macro practice - the unravelling of an old steel cable has a certain graceful aspect.

Is this the end of a different cable from the one running from top center to right center? My old eyes are having figure-ground problems. What were these cables originally holding? Inquiring minds want to know.

Bob, it's the same one, all tangled up in a heap, a leftover artifact from the company that mined Mead's Quarry. It probably was attached to an outbuilding or machinery. Or perhaps to one of those Jurassic Park tyrannosauruses (saurii?), which may be why it snapped. :)

I enlarged this to see the detail. I don;t usually do that
but wanted to confirm my suspicions. This is a brilliant macro. Really sharp subject and delicate soft focus background. I wouldn't alter a thing about this shot. Technically got to be amongst, if not your best and aesthetically pleasing on the eye. Like marley I think you really suit this kind of image. You wanted to take great photgraphy, you just have,
