Looks like someone's opened the wrong valve up there, and the Sunsphere is about to deflate.

Rate of Deflation
Since I've introduced you all to the Sunsphere now, you'll be seeing more of it from time to time. I won't be doing a weekly series like Strangetaste's wonderful Thursday Arch series at St. Louis Daily Photo. But I will be checking in whenever I see something interesting. Like this.

I like that, so Knoxville is full of hot air?
I saw your blog and found a piece of history your camera recorded. It is a blink, stopped dead-still, exposing a moment in time and the beauty you saw in the Sunsphere.

Good for noticing - and capturing - this cool shot! Too funny.
You made me smile, Knoxville Girl. I just love your blog, your writing and your photos!
Oh no, someones going to be in big trouble!
Maybe it's full of political hot air. Has she been in Knoxvile lately?
It looks like a giant pressure cooker!
By any chance, did you see Dane Bradshaw ride a zip line from the top of the Sunsphere down to World's Fair Park a couple of years ago? It was at a festival, and now I can't remember which (what a happy note for Knoxville - multiple festivals), but I do remember that Christabel and the Jons performed. Overall, it was pretty awesome.
Ooh Virginia ... naughty naughty! SHE ... hah ... we had a SP sound-a-like in Australia in 1998 called Pauline ... spare me!
That is a wonderful plume there NVG. It looks a smidge like a kettle letting off steam ...
Pardon me, but are the proportions of the Sunsphere a bit wonky? Should the sphere be a smidge bigger in diameter for the size of the upright?
Too funny!
Thanks for the laugh! ;D
Psheeeeeeeeeeeeee! Or is it just blowing off steam?
Super good post.
Ok maybe it's beacuse I doped up on hot toddies, but I see a ginat microphone and it's crying out for the supremes lips to be behind it. Ok just me then.
