Beaten Tracks

Oh boy, a mini-theme! These railroad tracks pass through the Mead's Quarry section of Ijams Nature Center. They used to service the company that mined the quarry for marble, but are no longer in use, in contrast to yesterday's post of the Southern Railway tracks downtown. Which is a good thing, as I seem to be developing an unfortunate habit of standing in the middle of the tracks.

Better be careful :)

I have fond memories of walking the railroad tracks when we were about 10 or 12. Boy, we would have gotten in trouble if they had ever caught us at it.

Great shot. Love the use of the black and white to age it a bit more.

Nver sit on a fence you get splinters, on a row your get run over, a track track you get squished. Why I am not a fence sitter, and always got an opinion, ass splinters. So how can yo go. It really follows on well form yesterday, stark.

Or did you put a penny to be flattened? You look safe on this one. Love the mini-theme & old RR tracks are so magical and full of hope.
