What? Noone has climbed over the barbedwire to steal them and cash them in at the nearest recycling center? Amazing.

What can you say? Old lamp posts never die, they only fade away? Better, though, that they have a chance of re-use.

And yes, they do recycle the parts for other lamps.
I think the metal thieves just haven't discovered this yet. Or maybe that danger sign scares them away.
