Yardwork

You really don't need that big old gas guzzling air polluting riding mower to keep your backyard in shape. Just get a couple of llamas and your yard maintenance problems will be solved. I spied this clever green solution during my walk along a greenway.

What a great discovery! It's not everyday you find llamas in someone's backyard! This photo brought a smile to my face.

Llamas in Knoxville? Whoda thunk it!

The other goat? Haha. Llamas can be moody, though.

I wonder which do a better job, llamas or goats? I seriously need to consider this!
Very cute but that white one appears to be a slacker!

Hello Girl !
I have also "lamas" on my blog...

Attention : parfois ils crachent...

I love this! My daughter would go into a little happy dance if she could see these llamas. Are they cute or what?!

They have such unique profiles, with all that hair on such thin little legs. I guess they're taking turns.

This may help the lawn mowing problem but it creates a llama poop problem. Which is of greater concern? By the way, thanks for the link Tuesday.

They always say to use goats here to keep your lawn in check! Cool photo :)

It looks idyllic, then I begin to wonder about the...ahem...practicalities.

Llamas are so cool - we have a couple that we pass on our way to school each day too. Fun to watch, and a slight departure from the norm around here (cows, pigs, donkeys, and goats)

Farmers have done that with sheep around here since I was a small boy. But the cost of keeping them through the winter has put a stop to it. Now the cost of gasoline for mowers and tractors has all but put a stop to mowing grass and all sorts of things are considered as a substitute for the lawn grass.

Thanks for you comments, everyone.
This was the last thing I expected to see, mostly because it's within city limits.
And really, the poop is a feature, not a problem - fertilizer!
