The Fort Sanders neighborhood, with its proximity to the University of Tennessee, has become a densely populated student enclave. But with that has come crime that preys on people who are perhaps less experienced with life.This blue light emergency box on 17th Street near Laurel Avenue can be used to call a ride or report a crime. There are also some CCTV cameras at the top of the hill.
I'm glad it's available. I used to park in that lot on the left when I attended night classes at UT, and I can tell you from experience that it was a very creepy walk late at night.

I really love this in monochrome -- it's so graphic and interesting with those straight lines!
They have these boxes at college I visited this past weekend. I had never seen them before. They remind me of the call boxes they have on the highways up in Illinois.

Jim, I think more and more colleges are installing them. Unfortunately, academia is not immune to the real world anymore, if it ever was.
Yes but the Tardis is huge on the inside. Students the world over learn live the hard way in these areas. I really like the low uphill feel and hate to say it but perfect for mono.
