I like the diversity of events scheduled on the square. Some days you get drag, some days you get gospel music. I like it all.
There's so much going on in Knoxville this weekend, that I'll just have to overflow into tomorrow, when we'll take a trip down Thunder Road.

Kinda looks like a young Charo. I wonder if young people know who Charo is?
I've never been to Knoxville but I'm happy to hear it is cosmopolitan enough to have a Pride Day. Based on pure guess, I wouldn't think much of the middle and small city South could handle that, but then you have the university.
The first pride parade I ever saw, quite by accident, was some years ago in Paris. It was the first time I heard The Macarena. Quite unforgettable!
Looks like someone is really showing their pride.
This is such a hoot!!!
Sydney has a huge one each year too.
Well that one has shocked me. A drag atrist. There's me thinking they'd me lynched before they got a note out. Live and let live, but I bet it wouldn't happen here. Shame.
I love drag shows. The first time I saw a drag performance was when I was a college student in Louisiana and Ms. (Gay) World came to perform at a local gay club. She looked and sounded like Whitney Houston until my friends told me that (1) that's a boy; (2) she was lip syncing. :-)
I think it's gay pride week in NYC this weekend.
I will definitely go check it out and take some photos. Stay tuned.
