Monthly Theme: Fine Lines

"Line" has many definitions. Dictionary.com has 53 definitions for the noun, 12 definitions for the verb, and 16 idioms or phrases that use the word "line." I let my left brain take over for this one with the mathematical definition: "a continuous extent of length, straight or curved, without breadth or thickness; the trace of a moving point." But then my right brain said, hey wait a minute, Einstein, let's find some lines in an unusual place. So, et voila, here they are. But where do you think "here" is, hmmm?

As I was writing this post, I realized that this is also my six month anniversary of photoblogging! Yay for me! This has been such fun. And this gives me the opportunity to say thanks to all of you who have commented with wry observations, photo critique, and words of encouragement. It's been a privilege to meet all of you, if only through my comments box. This project, and all of you, have helped me recover some very important things that I'd lost along the way, while Life was happening: my creativity, my writing voice, and most precious to me of all, my sense of humor.

Mil gracias por todos.

Nice reflection of lights - great choice! You're in an elevator?

Gorgeous shot, gorgeous posts. I'm thrilled to be part of your blogging world, Knox my dear. It would have been a tragedy to lose this wonderful writing voice and sense of humor! And what a photographer's eye, to boot.

LOVE this theme day choice!

It looks like an elevator to me too. That, or a commercial freezer.

K Girl, you have all those things, and they are a blessing to us. It's been the same for me, this blog therapy. Congratulations.

Congrats on 6 months of blogging! You took the words right out of my mouth about the benefits of the blogging process!

I think it's lights reflecting off the back of a freezer truck...

Knoxville Girl, as I'm new around the CDP community, I'm only just discovering so many fine folks that participate in the photo blogging. But, I discovered your blog 1st, as you are a fellow Knoxvillian, I looked you up immediately.

I want to say that I'm glad your blog was my 1st introduction to the CDP family. Your writing is so expressive and emotion-filled at times. I adore your sense of humor. I've lost count of the many mornings I've clicked on your site and left with a smile or laugh. Your photos are stunning.

I've tried to guess that you must somehow work in the arts or media in some way. You don't have to tell me. That's just my guess. You represent our city so well through your blog.

Btw, I also like your new avatar photo. That's cool! I also want to wish you congratulations on your 6 month anniversary. I admire you for that.

Well, anyway, sorry for the long comment. I guess I got carried away!

~Hope

I'm wondering if it is some kind of subway station.

It's a lift, sorry elevator isn't it?
I am going to have take note next time I'm in one. Like the lateral thinking, they're hypnotic for some reason. 6mths, some going. I agree you meet virtually some imteresting people who restore your faith in many ways. That I am not the only nutter in case! Excellent lateral lines.

Oh Lordy, here I am right below B.! Risky business!HA
Knox, congrats on 6 months. IF you didn't get thrown off CDP after B and I got rowdy about the wine labels, you're bound for many many more. We do love your wonderful voice, your humor, your creativity and those g reat photos. Keep up the good work. And that's an elevator up there's my guess. Love the photo. the light lines are gorgeous.

Elevator doors. You always see (and show us) what we forget to slow down and see. I really enjoy visiting your blog. I am adding you to my blog list, and following list. I would have done both before, just been so busy. You are always so refreshing.

Nice idea and picture for the theme day!

Thank you all for your comments. Good guesses, everyone! (Although, Ham, I think you're lion).
I was in the parking garage elevator going to ground level. Ding! The door opened, and as I was about to exit, I looked up and saw the lines. So I did what any CDP'er worth their camera would do - I pushed the Close Door button, took a snap, laughed maniaically, and went on my way. Lucky there were no witnesses.

I'm a day late, but at least I guessed right. :)

Congratulations on your sixth month, KG! It's been fun, and I hope you'll keep on blogging for at least 6 more years!
