Rear Window
It's old and caked with dirt. But the ochre light of sunrise makes these windows glow, makes me want to run my hand across the rough brick. Beauty is in the lens of the beholder.
It is in the lens of the beholder. Sometimes we all must go with our gut feelings about a photograph. In this case I'm right with you. I want to touch it too!
Absof**kinglutely it's in the eye of the lens beholder. Pssibly one of my favourite shots you've ever shown. It looks like icing sugar. Delicious warm edible image. Not taht I eat bricks, honest.
It's really rough! I don't know about running my hand over it but it's a feast for the eyes with the textures and the morning light. So I've been distracted for a few days & am catching up your last few days' posts - BEAUTIFUL sphere/moon (my moon always comes out fuzzy - still must work on that), indeed a perfect shot one cannot resist. Look forward to the Tai Chi photo - hope everyone is well balanced :) Great find on the mural - I bet he keeps really still & I agree with the starkness of the Stalag 17 (including the reminder of Shawsahank - one of my faves.) I'm gonna keep up this week.

Your caption made me smile. I completely agree!
Indeed! This is a great capture!
It is beautiful, sadly neglected.

A beautiful image...the sunlight draws out the beauty in all manner of things. I agree with Babooshka that the bricks look to be covered in frosting.
Very sensuous textures and colors; I understand completely!

Looks a little like adobe or clay. I like the texture.
It makes me think of chocolate frosting....yum.. But I'll not lick the mud! Great photo.
Rough, yet the textures appear smooth. The lighting is wonderful!
looks like no one opens it for a while now... :-)
