Blaze of Glory

This is the Grand Lobby of the Historic Tennessee Theatre. Once again, auto setting, natural light, no adjusting. The crystal chandeliers look like they're about to reach critical mass and explode. Oh my. Shiny terrazzo floors, swags of brocade draperies, and huge mirrors along the stairways give this place credibility as an "entertainment palace." The little usher in the red vest is waiting to escort you to your seat. I know I can get to a truer color with manual settings and a bit of fiddling, but I also like the tangerine dream quality of this shot. Yes, it's just a dream, go back to sleep.

It really looks like curtains on fire and kind of spooky. "Fire!" people yelled.

I would have to dig out my burial clothes to go to a place like this. Wow. Impressive.

What an impressive lobby. Can you imagine mingling in the lobby waiting for the doors to open and everyone dressed in formal attire?

Jim...I've done just that with my little black dress on...back in the day when I could wear a little black dress! It's quite the experience...one you don't forget!

It's a tangerine dream going down in a blaze of glory, but the future's so bright I gotta wear shades. I love the firey glow. If hell has a cinema, it looks like this. That chandelier looks like molten lava about to explode.

Wow! The lobby didn't look anything like that when I was there. Amazing!

I've just had a lovely vision in a dream...

Nice photo, I love the lights and staircase. Looks like the inside of the Titanic.

Intense color! At first I thought it was a funeral parlor! I'm not quite sure why...

What grandeur! I can almost see women in gowns and diamond baubles, and men in coat tails going up and down those stairs!
