I see three kinds of passages here: the passage of water through copper pipes, a passage in Underground Knoxville, and the passage of time that buried these once-above ground sidewalks and storefronts.

I missed the theme day somehow but I wrote in my Memories blog about the roads of my youth and how they were to travel in the winter time.
I remember these spooky posts. Not for the claustrophobic. Nie to revisit this fascinating underworld.
